A superb hundred from George Bailey and another five-wicket hall by Mitchell Starc helped Australia beat West Indies by 54 runs at the WACA Ground on Sunday.
The Windies were on track for an unlikely victory when Kieran Powell (83 off 90 balls) lead an impressive rearguard action, but his dismissal prompted a mini-collapse that the tourists never recovered from.
Earlier, Starc reproduced his incredible form from Friday as he once again destroyed the Windies top-order, finishing with figures of 5-32 off eight overs.
The hero for the hosts was Bailey, who rescued Australia from a dire situation at 6-98 and played a measured innings before exploding towards the end to finish on 125 off 110 balls.
